Laticia Wright

Pilates Instructor
Laticia Elphick

I was a dancer for nearly 20 years. When I finished I was looking for ways to maintain my flexibility and strength. I was lucky enough to find this in pilates.

Before I found Pilates I used to think I was “strong”. I was not,  I was just good at using my flexibility. Pilates has really help me build strength rather than rely on my flexibility. It has helped me with injuries and stability and I love how you can really work those tiny muscles you didn’t even know existed.

I think I always knew that I would teach it has always felt like a natural extension of my practise and I love to share what I know. Mostly I love all the people I meet and teach who really teach me more than I actually teach them.

Spicy with a big smile.

I have been teaching at the lab for many years now. It was one of the first studios I taught at when I finished teacher training. I love the clients and all the teachers. The space has always felt like home to me.

I have been teaching since 2016

I think most people would expect me to say fitness as I do teach a dynamic class. Growing up as a dancer technique is however engrained in me to be the number one priority. So if I had to choose would be technical.
