Intro to Pilates
Welcome to our Intro class at The Pilates Lab, designed as a prerequisite for new and inexperienced clients. In this 60-minute session, our skilled instructors will guide you through the foundational principles of Pilates, focusing on proper breathing techniques, core activation, alignment, and mind-to-muscle connection. You’ll learn how to adjust our equipment to your personal settings, ensuring comfort and familiarity. We’ll then introduce you to basic exercises, allowing you to apply what you’ve learned ( you will be moving 80% of the time). By the end of this comprehensive session, you’ll feel confident and ready to join our regular classes, equipped with a solid foundation in Pilates techniques and an understanding of how to maximise your potential with our equipment.
Reformer Pilates
A challenging workout that targets all muscle groups, leaving you feeling strong, empowered, and deeply connected to your body. Experience the power of working against spring resistance as you sculpt and tone your muscles, enhancing both your physical appearance and inner confidence. With each movement, you will improve your posture, flexibility, and overall mind-body connection, creating a harmonious balance within yourself. Our expertly crafted exercises focus on developing core strength while allowing your spine and body to move through a full range of functional motion, ensuring you feel agile and capable in your everyday life.

Matwork Pilates
Take it down where it all began with a Pilates session done on the mat. Immerse yourself in the seamless flow of exercises, gracefully transitioning from one movement to another, as you engage and invigorate your entire body. Don’t be fooled by the absence of equipment – this is where the true magic happens! With no external aids, you will rely solely on the power and poise of your own body, resulting in a truly transformative experience. Witness as your muscles tone and elongate, sculpting your physique from head to toe.

The JP Flow
Inspired by Joseph Pilates’ original 34 exercises—with 3 extra abdominal challenges—The JP Flow is a nonstop, full-body workout. You’ll flow seamlessly through the 37 exercises from one exercise to the next, with no breaks in between, building endurance, strength, and control. Each class follows the same flow, giving you the chance to master your technique and improve with every session.
Whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned pro, The JP Flow will challenge you to move with precision, fluidity, and power.

Restorative Yoga
A gentle nourishing yoga practice that focuses on deep Relaxation, flowing through slow movements and supported postures. All levels welcome.
Yin Yoga
Slow down, breathe deep, and settle in. This meditative practice targets deep connective tissues—fascia, ligaments, and joints—through long-held poses. A chance to turn inward, release tension, and find balance in stillness. Perfect for those looking to stretch, unwind, and reset. All levels welcome.
The Pilates Circuit
The Pilates Circuit is a dynamic fitness class that combines four different exercise modalities – Mat Pilates, TRX, Chair, and Barre to deliver a comprehensive and challenging workout.
This class is designed to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and core stability by engaging multiple muscle groups simultaneously. Each station of the circuit utilizes a different piece of equipment, allowing for a varied and engaging workout that targets different areas of the body. In this class, you will move through the different stations, performing a series of exercises that incorporate each piece of equipment, with an emphasis on proper form, technique and progressions. The Pilates Circuit suitable for all fitness levels.
Barre
Get ready to elevate your heart rate and experience the invigorating rush with our high-energy, music-infused class. If you crave a faster-paced workout, you’ll absolutely adore this vibrant and joy-filled session.
Barre is the perfect blend of standing work at the ballet barre and floor exercises. While the positions and movements may seem simple and functional, it’s the depth at which you engage in them that makes the difference. We constantly update our music and choreography, ensuring each class is a fresh and thrilling experience. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, our classes are thoughtfully designed to be effective and enjoyable for everyone.

Private Pilates
Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey with Pilates but unsure where to start? Whether you have an ongoing injury, find group classes overwhelming, or simply desire a personalized program tailored to your body’s unique needs, this session is designed to make you feel supported and empowered. During your initial Private Pilates session, we will prioritize your goals, thoroughly assess your history, and conduct muscle testing to gain valuable insights. Additionally, we will provide you with a comprehensive explanation of the fundamental Pilates principles. By addressing any injuries and understanding your health objectives, we can collaboratively create a customized program exclusively for you. Rest assured that our private sessions are suitable for all levels, offering you the opportunity to master your practice and achieve exceptional results through personalized attention. Get ready to embrace a fulfilling Pilates experience that will leave you feeling motivated and well-supported.
Pregnancy Reformer
Pregnant bodies aren’t broken or injured they’re strong, adaptable, and still capable of doing most Pilates exercises with the right guidance. While we no longer offer a dedicated Pregnancy Reformer class, we warmly welcome expectant mums into our regular Reformer sessions.
Our experienced instructors will provide safe and effective modifications as needed. Pilates during pregnancy can help maintain strength, improve posture, support pelvic floor function, ease back pain and tightness, and boost overall mobility. It’s also a beautiful way to connect with your breath and your changing body.
Before you start, please email info@thepilateslab.com.au so we can add a pregnancy tag to your account. This lets our team know you’re expecting and ensures we’re ready with appropriate support and modifications every time you join us.
Mums & Bubs Pilates
Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates classes offer an excellent opportunity for new moms to rejuvenate their bodies while addressing your postpartum needs. These classes focus on restoring muscle memory in the core as well as strengthening and mobilising the entire body. After natural childbirth, the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles tend to become stretched and weakened. Additionally, the physical strain of breastfeeding and carrying the baby can result in tightness and stress. This class will cater to your specific changes and help you regain strength and flexibility. You have the option to attend alone or bring your baby along, allowing them to relax nearby while you engage in your workout.
Note : These classes are for clients with bubs that are not yet highly mobile. Prams and rugs are welcome.
